Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is hiring an OR Care Technician I to support surgical teams at Morton Plant. You will perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under RN oversight, manage supplies and equipment, and assist in the operating room and recovery areas.

This full-time, day shift role requires high school education, BLS certification, and a preference for technical training or degree; prior perioperative experience is favored. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• High School or Equivalent.
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree.
• Preferred - 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN.
• Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers
