Job summary

BayCare is seeking an OR Care Tech to support the operating room team at Mease Countryside. You will perform direct and indirect patient care under supervision of an RN and assist in the OR and recovery areas.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, managing supplies, and keeping instruments and sterilizers organized. The role requires BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of perioperative care experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical program completion or degree preferred.
• 1 year of procedural and/or perioperative in‑patient care experience.

• Manage supplies/equipment and assist in surgery and recovery.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist in the operating room during procedures.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred

• 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in‑patient care.
