Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa seeks an OR Care Tech to assist in the operating room and recovery area, ensuring patient preparation and support under RN oversight.

Responsibilities include handling supplies, equipment, sterilizers and supporting perioperative care; on-site, evening shift, with occasional weekend work and on-call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred technical program completion or degree.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities:

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree
• Preferred - 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Shift: Shift 2
