The role directs OR nursing staff, coaches teamwork, and partners with surgeons and anesthesia to optimize safety, workflow, and patient outcomes; BSN and Maryland RN license are required, with BLS certification and 2+ years OR experience plus 1+ year leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Maryland RN license required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operating room operations, patient flow, and staffing coverage.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop OR nursing staff to promote performance, teamwork, and engagement.
• Support regulatory readiness for accreditation, surveys, and quality initiatives.
• Identify and implement improvements to patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, workflow, and efficiency.
• Support the Nurse Manager with scheduling, reporting, and other operational activities.
• Serve as a clinical and operational resource across surgical teams.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
