Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician for a part-time role in Corvallis, OR. The technician will assist the optometrist with eye examinations, pre-testing, patient history intake, and guiding patients throughout the care experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, handling clinical instruments, administering tests, and supporting patient flow. Prior experience is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for inquiries.
• Effective written communication skills to clearly document patient visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Optometrist with eye examinations and patient eye care.
• Prepare patients by gathering medical history and explaining the exam process.
• Order contact lenses and manage trials inventory.
• Perform tests and patient education under the Optometrist supervision.
