Job summary

VSP Vision in Medford, OR seeks an assistant to support the Optometrist with eye examinations and patient care. You will perform pre-testing, collect patient history, and guide patients throughout the clinical experience.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in a related field.
• Effective verbal communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Optometrist with eye examinations and patient care.
• Collect patient history and pre-testing information.
• Guide patients through the exam and document findings.
• Perform tests, measurements, and use clinical instruments.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and inventory.
• Administer ophthalmic medications as directed.
• Scribe for the doctor and translate as needed.
• Support front desk tasks and maintain clean, organized space.
