Job summary

Eyemart Express in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Front Desk Associate (Optometrist's Technician) for a full-time role. You will assist the store Doctor, service patients, and support eye care services, including pre-tests and contact lens orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or sales preferred.
• Experience in the optical industry is preferred but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and policies regarding payment, returns, and exchanges.
• Process payment transactions/refunds using the in-house POS system.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Process insurance claims efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products.
• Create and maintain patient files following HIPAA policies.
• Input patient information into the computer system accurately.
• Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate products (frames, lenses, coatings).
• Sign-in patients and document insurance eligibility before services.
• Perform thorough pre-test procedures as directed by the Doctor.
