Job summary

PanCare Health in Florida is seeking a Front Desk Associate (Optometry) to support the vision clinic with patient registration, check-in/check-out, scheduling, and insurance verification.

You will process payments, maintain records, assist off-site clinics, and provide friendly, professional service while upholding HIPAA and privacy standards. Prior healthcare front desk experience and bilingual ability are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Experience in a front desk or receptionist role.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete check-in/check-out; verify intake forms in the EHR.
• Provide professional customer service; answer calls and route inquiries.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; manage walk-ins.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance details, and eligibility.
• Process copays/payments; balance daily transactions and maintain records.
• Support off-site vision clinics and mobile services as assigned.
• Back-up basic vision pretesting if trained and assigned.
