Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to work part-time or full-time (2-5 days per week) in Southeast Massachusetts, serving residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

You will provide general optometry services with a flexible schedule, no evening or weekend hours, 100% malpractice coverage, an established patient base, and full administrative support. All equipment and a laptop with our EMR system are provided.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) and active state license.
• Licensed to practice in relevant state.
• Ability to travel to nursing facilities daily.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with EMR and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the visual system and eye.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and document in EMR.
• Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities for mobile care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part-Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) in Southeast Massachusetts (work available in the Norfolk, Plymouth, and Bristol county areas).

Updated Compensation:

• Oppotunity to earn $800+ per day via production with a $625 daily minimum.

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• State professional license
• Valid driver’s license
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
