Job summary

HealthDrive Corporation seeks an Optometrist to provide on-site eye care in nursing homes, assisted living, and long-term care facilities across Southeast Massachusetts. The role can be Part-Time or Full-Time (2–5 days/week) with a daily minimum and production-based earnings.

You will diagnose and treat refractive and ocular conditions, maintain EMR documentation, and travel daily to facilities. Benefits include malpractice coverage, administrative support, and equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) required.
• State professional license required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate preferred.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email and the internet and learn other healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities in assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders and age-related ocular conditions.
• Examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases of the eye and related structures.
• Identify systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and document in EMR system.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part-Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) in Southeast Massachusetts (work available in the Norfolk, Plymouth, and Bristol county areas).

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
