Job summary

HealthDrive seeks an Optometrist to join our on-site team serving residents in nursing facilities across Northern and Central New Jersey. This full-time position offers four days per week with clinical autonomy and a supportive practice infrastructure.

You will diagnose and manage refractive and ocular conditions, travel to facilities daily, and deliver patient-centered care with no patient quotas. HealthDrive provides 100% malpractice coverage and a proprietary EMR system to streamline

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) required.
• State professional license required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, the internet and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders, including age-related conditions.
• Enter patient information and document in our EMR system.
• Travel daily to assigned facilities for on-site care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist,to work full-time (4 days per week) in Northern & Central New Jersey, with facilities located throughout the region, including Jersey City, Ridgewood, Somerset, Edison, Ewing, Monroe Township, Eatontown, and more.

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
