Acuity Eyecare Group in San Jose, CA is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to conduct comprehensive eye exams and use full licensure to diagnose refractive errors and ocular diseases.

The optometrist will build lasting patient relationships, educate patients on eyecare options, prescribe glasses, contact lenses, medications, and provide pre- and postoperative care as needed.

Qualifications

• Verbal interview with patient prior to examination to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, reasons for visit and visual needs.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases; prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications.
• Promote eye health and educate patients on care and use of lenses and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and analyze results.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care and postoperative follow-up when needed.
• Inform patients about treatment options and empower informed decisions.
