Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group seeks a Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams, evaluate ocular health, and educate patients to support high-quality eye care and practice growth.

The optometrist will prescribe eyewear, contact lenses, and medications when appropriate, conduct vision testing, review patient histories, and collaborate with staff to ensure excellent service and timely referrals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited program.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Strong patient education and communication skills.
• Ability to establish long-term patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and assess ocular health.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Obtain patient history and vision needs before examinations.
• Explain options for refractive and ocular treatments and recommend alternatives.
• Promote eye health and educate on lens choices and latest coatings.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care when applicable and coordinate with specialists.
