Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to join our California offices. You will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage eye diseases, prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and educate patients on eye health.

The role requires California licensure, excellent communication, and the ability to translate medical terms for patients, while maintaining high clinical and customer service standards within a physician-led group.

Qualifications

• OD degree required and active California license in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with patients.
• Ability to explain medical terms in simple language.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests.
• Diagnose defects such as myopia and glaucoma.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses as needed.
• Advise patients on eye care techniques and health.
• Maintain accurate medical records and privacy per policy.
• Refer to eye doctors when surgery is needed.
