Job summary

Acuity Eyecare group is seeking a licensed optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular health. You will educate patients, build long-term relationships, and advise on refractive options while coordinating with staff to deliver high-quality eye care.

You will perform vision tests, diagnose eye conditions, and prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate. Prior state board clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Passed optometric state boards and licensed/eligible.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and assess ocular health.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Take verbal history to determine health, ocular history and patient needs.
• Counsel patients on treatment options for refractive and ocular disease.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and medications as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgeries.
• Screen for systemic diseases and refer to other providers when needed.
• Educate patients on eye health and lens technology.
