Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a licensed optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and ocular health assessments. You will establish long-term patient relationships through education and tailored care, and guide patients on lenses, treatments, and vision options.

Responsibilities include taking patient histories, interpreting test results, prescribing glasses/contacts, and coordinating post-operative care as needed. Emphasis on patient education and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and evaluate ocular health.
• Build long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Perform patient interviews to assess health history and needs.
• Advise patients on refractive options and treatment plans.
• Support staff and communicate lens recommendations clearly.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results to diagnose conditions.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Recommend or provide treatments such as vision therapy or rehabilitative options.
• Provide post-operative care and assess patient recovery after surgery.
• Evaluate patients for systemic diseases and refer as needed.
• Promote eye health and educate patients on lens care and eye exams.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and staff.
