Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a part-time Optometrist (3 days/week) to serve residents in Wausau, WI and nearby areas within an established patient base. You will provide comprehensive optometry services across nursing homes and long-term care facilities.

Enjoy a flexible schedule with no evening or weekend hours, on-site support, and full administrative backup. On-site equipment and a laptop with the EMR system are provided to streamline care.

Qualifications

• OD degree required and licensed to practice in Wisconsin.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• TPA certification/Legend Drug Certificate required.
• Proficiency with email, the internet, and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders.
• Document patient information in the EMR system.
• Travel daily to assigned nursing facilities and work independently.

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
