Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist for a full-time role serving residents in the La Crosse and Greater Eau Claire, WI areas, with travel between nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
  • Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular conditions.
  • Document patient information in the EMR system.
  • Coordinate with facility staff and physicians as needed.
  • Travel daily between facilities for patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Currently seeking an Optometrist to work full-time (4 days per week) in the La Crosse & Greater Eau Claire, WI areas, including Eau Claire, Menomonie, Chippewa Falls, Rice Lake, Hudson, and surrounding communities.

*FULL-TIME (4 DAYS/WEEK) PROVIDERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN $140K+ ANNUALLY! (PRORATED BASED ON SCHEDULE)*

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
  • Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
  • State professional license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
