Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to provide on-site general optometry services for residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care centers in the Greater Eau Claire & La Crosse, WI region.

The role features a full-time schedule (4 days/week), autonomy with no patient quotas, and a comprehensive benefits package. Travel to facilities is required and a modern EMR system is used to manage patient records.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) required.
• State professional license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email and learn healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and document in EMR system.
• Mobile travel to skilled nursing facilities daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Currently seeking an Optometrist to work full-time (4 days per week) in the Greater Eau Claire & La Crosse, WI areas, including Eau Claire, Menomonie, Chippewa Falls, Rice Lake, Hudson, and surrounding communities.

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
