Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to provide care at nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the Flint area. The role can be part-time or full-time (2-5 days per week) with no evening or weekend hours required.

You will diagnose and treat refractive and ocular conditions, travel daily to facilities, and document all encounters in our EMR system. Excellent clinical autonomy and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• OD degree and state license required.
• Valid driver's license.
• TPA / Legend Drug Certificate.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
• Daily travel to assigned facilities within the Flint area.
• Enter patient information and document in the EMR system.
• Identify ocular and systemic conditions affecting eye health.
• Perform routine exams and manage refractive and ocular conditions.

• Oppotunity to earn $800+ per day via production with a $625 daily minimum.
• $10k Sign On Bonus available at 5 days per week. Prorated for fewer days.

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
• State professional license
• Valid driver's license
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
