Job summary

Grene Vision Group is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmic testing and patient flow at our Wichita, KS location. The role involves assisting doctors with preliminary testing, verifying insurances, and communicating clearly with patients and staff.

No prior eye-care experience is required as training is provided; flexible hours and opportunities to travel between locations are included, with mileage reimbursement supported.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow
• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing
• Verify medical and vision insurances
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
• Operate testing equipment (lensometers, autorefractor, retinal camera, visual field, OCT)
