Job summary

MyEyeDr in Cartersville, GA is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and taking measurements. No optical experience? Training will be provided to learn the equipment and procedures that deliver a best-in-class eye care experience to our patients.

This role reports to the Office General Manager but will directly support our Doctor(s). Some weekend and evenings shifts required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to comfort patients.
• Detail-oriented with basic math proficiency.
• No optical experience required; training provided.
• Healthcare background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for a range of visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
