Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in the United States is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the doctor during exams and perform initial testing with ophthalmic equipment, preparing patients for their visits and contributing to a world class Total Patient Experience.

The role requires at least one year of customer-facing medical office experience, HIPAA compliance, and strong teamwork. You will work in a clinical setting with Microsoft Office tools and be able to travel between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Total Patient Experience and provide medical support to patients
• Follow HIPAA and company policies
• Be time-efficient respecting patient and doctor schedules
• Operate lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual fields, OCT
• Follow test scripting for photos, visual fields, and other tests
• Clean examination equipment including tonometer tips
• Interact courteously with all staff levels
• Perform general office duties as assigned by manager
• Support a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment
• Adhere to schedules, including weekends or shift changes
