Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare, Inc. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will prepare patients for exams using optical instruments and assist the optometrist with testing and equipment operation.

The position requires strong attention to patient care, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork. A background in medical offices or ophthalmic settings is preferred, with flexibility to work at multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support the Total Patient Experience to deliver excellent medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies and procedures.
• Operate ophthalmic devices such as lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera and OCT.
• Follow testing scripts and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Assist with general office duties and maintain a clean work area.
• Interact professionally with all staff and patients at all times.
• Commit to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends or schedule changes.
