Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare, Inc. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support exam flow and ensure a world class Total Patient Experience. You will operate diagnostic equipment, assist the optometrist, and help prepare patients for testing.

This on-site clinic role requires a high school diploma or GED, patient-service experience, and comfort with HIPAA; some travel to other locations may be required as part of essential duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in customer/patient interaction or equivalent experience.
• Background check favorable as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute Total Patient Experience to build patient relationships and provide medical support.
• Comply with policies including HIPAA.
• Engage patients efficiently to respect doctor and patient time.
• Operate diagnostic equipment such as manual/auto lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field tools, and OCT/GDX.
• Follow testing scripts for photos, visual fields, and visual acuity.
• Maintain clean examination equipment including tonometer tips.
• Interact courteously with all staff and patients.
• Handle general office duties and light cleaning as assigned.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused work environment.
• Be available for schedule flexibility including weekends.
