Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye exams by performing initial testing with optical equipment, preparing patients for the optometrist, and delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience.

The position requires at least 1 year with customer/patient interaction, strong computer skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook), and adherence to HIPAA. Travel to other locations may be required; excellent teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year interacting with customers/patients or equivalent.
• Background check acceptable per state requirements; proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and provide medical support to patients.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Operate exam testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX/OCT).
• Follow scripts for testing procedures and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Assist in general office duties and maintain a professional workplace environment.
• Support team goals with a patient-focused, collaborative approach.
• Occasionally travel to other locations as needed.
