Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician to support clinicians and ensure a world-class Total Patient Experience in a clinical setting. You will perform initial testing with optical equipment and assist the doctor during exams.

Strong customer service, attention to detail, and flexibility to meet scheduling needs are essential, including possible weekend hours. HIPAA compliance and professionalism are required.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and provide high-quality medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respect patients' time and coordinate with doctors' schedules.
• Operate ophthalmic instruments: lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT.
• Follow testing scripts for photos, visual fields, and visual acuity.
• Clean examination equipment including tonometer tips.
• Interact professionally with all colleagues.
• Perform general office duties and light cleaning as directed.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
• Meet hours required by business, including weekends or schedule changes.
