Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the exam process and ensure a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will perform initial testing using optical equipment to prepare patients for exams with an Optometrist.

The role requires strong patient interaction, attention to detail, and comfort with testing devices such as lensometers and autorefractors, while upholding HIPAA and office standards.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient's time, as well as the doctor's time and schedule.
• Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDx or OCT.
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.).
• Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip.
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff.
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
• Create a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused work environment.
• Commit to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends or extended schedules.
