Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician to support the eye care team and enhance the Total Patient Experience. This role performs initial testing to prepare patients for exams using optical equipment under the supervision of an Optometrist.

The position requires strong attention to HIPAA, patient care, and teamwork, with potential weekend hours to meet business needs. Prior ophthalmic experience is preferred, HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior ophthalmic/medical office experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
• Practice urgency to respect patient and doctor time and schedule.
• Operate ophthalmic testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT) as needed.
• Follow scripts for testing procedures and patient interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of examination equipment and workspace.
• Interact professionally with all staff and patients at all times.
• Support general office duties and respond to manager's assignments.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
• Be flexible with hours, including weekends or extended schedules as needed.
