Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician in Northfield, OH to support the eye care team. You will perform initial testing using optical equipment to prepare patients for exams with an Optometrist. The role emphasizes delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience and compliance with HIPAA.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service experience, basic office tech skills, and the ability to work in a clinical setting with a team focused on patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent education/experience
• Background check as required by state
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Comply with company policies and HIPAA.
• Practice urgency at all times for patients and doctors’ time and schedule.
• Operate exam testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT).
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, etc.).
• Maintain and clean examination equipment including tonometer tips.
• Interact with all levels of staff professionally and courteously.
