Job summary

AEG Vision in Upper Darby, PA, is seeking an Optometric Technician to support patient care alongside Optometrists. You will perform pre-exam testing, manage appointment schedules, and assist with diagnostic testing to ensure efficient, high-quality visits.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation in EHR, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with a team. Part-time, on-site position with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• May be required to schedule referral appointments with Ophthalmologists and other referrals.
• Records and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Performs diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera, etc.).
• Ensures maximum schedule utilization via pre-appointment confirmation and recalls.
• May be asked to act as a scribe for the Optometrist.
• End-of-day wrap-up and office organization.
