Job summary

AEG in Murray, KY is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and ensure a high‑quality patient experience. You will perform pre‑testing and help manage patient flow from arrival to exit.

You may conduct preliminary evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera), and help with scheduling and documentation. HIPAA compliance and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
