Job summary

AEG Vision in Blaine, MN is seeking an Optometric Technician to support patient care alongside Optometrists, ensuring efficient, high‑quality experiences for every patient.

You’ll conduct pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic tests, manage the doctor’s schedule, maintain HIPAA‑compliant records, and help with contact lens services, contributing to a smooth patient journey from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients' records under HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Schedule referral appointments and manage doctor’s calendar and recalls.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR per policy.
• Respond to patient inquiries and assist with post‑op documentation and CPT coding.
• Manage contact lens insertion/removal classes and inventory.
• Ensure efficient daily scheduling and end‑of‑day wrap‑ups.
