Job summary

AEG Vision in Raytown, MO is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and help deliver outstanding patient care. You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with exams, and maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care and HIPAA compliance.
• Industry certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient evaluations before exams (dilation, topicals, diagnostic tests, Optomap).
• Record patient data in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with scheduling referrals and managing test orders and paperwork.
• Support daily clinic operations and maintain clean, organized workspace.
