Job summary

AEG Vision in Morgantown, WV is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the doctor’s schedule, and help patients understand their eye care journey from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have experience in eye exams, familiarity with eye care terminology, and HIPAA-compliant record-keeping. Certifications such as CPO, CPOA, or CPOT are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Support Optometrists with pre-testing and diagnostic procedures.
• Schedule doctor appointments and manage patient flow.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with contact lens fitting and inventory.
