Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Illinois is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. No optical experience? Training provided.

You will assist with documenting medical history, preparing patients, and ensuring a smooth flow to the Doctor. Weekend and evening shifts may be required. The role offers wage range $15.00 to $21.25 per hour, with company benefits including medical and dental coverage, vision plan, 401(k) match, and paid time off from day

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with ability to understand basic math.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening and testing.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and office staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings prior to the doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide a seamless patient experience.
