Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements.

No optical experience required—training and tools will be provided to learn pretest equipment and screening procedures, contributing to a best-in-class vision care experience. You will document patient conditions, help manage appointment flow, train patients on contact lenses when applicable, and collaborate with the doctor and team to ensure comfort and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient; able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented; works closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
