Eye Care Group of Southern Oregon in Grants Pass is seeking an Optometric Technician I to support our optometrists and deliver top-tier patient care. This role covers pre-screening, diagnostic testing, and patient education to create a smooth, positive visit.

You will work with a collaborative team, handle scheduling, insurance verification, contact lens training, and documentation of patient exams with accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience; optometric experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to educate and connect with patients.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities; multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a desire to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists in patient care from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up.
• Perform diagnostic tests and gather patient medical histories.
• Educate patients about vision benefits and contact lens training.
• Verify insurance and schedule next visits.
• Coordinate appointments and office communications.
