Job summary

Eye Care Group of Southern Oregon, Grants Pass, is seeking an Optometric Technician I to join our team and support optometrists in delivering patient-centered eye care. You will assist with pre-screening, exams, and post-visit follow-up while learning diagnostic procedures and patient education.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and organization in a fast-paced setting. Prior customer service is welcome, and on-the-job training is provided to help you grow your clinical skills

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience (optometric preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Team-oriented with a desire to learn new skills
• Detail-focused with accurate documentation of exams and procedures
• Flexible schedule and proactive attitude toward team success

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists in pre-screening and post-exam follow-up
• Perform diagnostic tests and collect patient histories
• Educate patients about vision benefits and contact lens training
• Coordinate appointments and manage office communications
• Support team to meet individual and collective goals for patient care
