Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician to assist the optometrist with initial testing and to deliver a world class Total Patient Experience in a clinical setting.

This team member operates testing equipment such as lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras and visual fields, while helping with routine office duties and patient interactions. A high school diploma and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Ophthalmic or medical office experience preferred.
• Background check as required by state; proof of identity and work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient's time, as well as the doctor's time and schedule.
• Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT.
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.).
• Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip.
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff and maintain a positive team environment.
• Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by management.
• Commit to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends or schedule changes.
