Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmologists by performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams. You will operate devices such as lensometers, autorefractors, keratometers, and retinal cameras while delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience.

You will interact with patients in a clinical setting, follow HIPAA guidelines, and collaborate with the team to ensure efficient schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
  • Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
  • Favorable result on background check as required by state
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
  • Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
  • Operate ophthalmic testing equipment including lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT
  • Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity)
  • Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
  • Interact professionally with all levels of staff
  • Assist with general office duties as assigned by manager
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and patient-focused service
  • Commit to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends or extended schedules
