Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the Total Patient Experience. You will assist with initial testing using optical equipment to prepare patients for exams with an Optometrist and ensure high-quality care.

The role emphasizes patient interaction, adherence to privacy rules, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning device operation, scripting adherence, and office duties in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent.
• Background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support Total Patient Experience and build patient relationships while providing medical support.
• Comply with company policies including HIPAA.
• Practice urgency to respect patient and doctor time.
• Operate ophthalmic testing devices (lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT).
• Follow testing scripts and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Interact courteously with all staff; perform general office duties as assigned.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
• Attend to schedule needs, including weekends or extended hours when required.
