America's Best, part of National Vision, is hiring an optometric technician to support the eye care team and streamline patient flow with pre-screenings and testing for the doctor’s examination.

No optical experience is required; training is provided. You will help maintain a professional office environment and deliver high-quality patient care while learning optical knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and a friendly demeanor are required.
• Willingness to learn optical knowledge and terminology.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills for frontline interactions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Detail orientation and careful handling of patient information.
• Ability to multitask in a busy retail-eyewear environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude on shift.

Responsabilités

• Ensure high quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of the office and pretest room.
• Understand ocular terminology and diseases and ocular abbreviations.
• Explain to patients the types of preliminary examinations.
• Complete paperwork and perform testing prior to doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Perform exam pre-screening.
• Review prescriptions and patient information and consult with staff when needed.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
