America's Best, part of National Vision, seeks an Optometric Technician to support pre-screenings and testing before the Doctor's exam. You will help keep patient flow efficient, explain preliminary exams, and assist the optometrist with testing and documentation. Training is provided, no prior optical experience required.

Qualifications

• No optical experience required; training provided.
• Retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care.
• Maintain professional atmosphere of the office and pretest room.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing prior to doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with staff when needed.
• Ensure Doctor's and pre-test equipment are properly maintained.
