Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the doctor’s examinations by performing pre-screenings and tests. The role does not require prior optical experience; training is provided, and Sundays are off!

You’ll help maintain a smooth patient flow, explain preliminary examinations, and assist with organizing paperwork and equipment in a fast-paced retail eye-care setting.

Qualifications

• Previous retail/optical experience preferred, but not required.
• Must learn optical terminology and testing procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care and smooth patient flow.
• Maintain professional appearance of the exam area and pretest room.
• Explain preliminary examinations and testing procedures to patients.
• Review patient information and confirm accuracy before testing.
• Assist with paperwork and documentation for doctor examinations.
• Promote vision tests and retinal screenings to eligible patients.
• Maintain and calibrate pre-test and doctor equipment.
