Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced eyecare team. This full-time role assists the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing, helps manage patient flow, and ensures accurate paperwork before exams.

No optical experience or certification is required; training is provided. Benefits include 401k, flexible spending, paid time off, employee eyewear discounts, and overtime pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• Retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.
• Able to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-screenings and testing prior to doctor examinations.
• Explain to patients the types of preliminary examinations.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy; consult with staff as needed.
• Ensure equipment (doctor’s and pre-test) is properly maintained.
