Job summary

Coventry Eye Care Associates & Optical Center is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the optometry team with patient care, eye exams, and testing. You will help manage patient records, assist with pre-exam testing, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout visits.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work weekends/evenings as needed and maintain a high standard of HIPAA-compliant records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams and manage patient records.
• Support patient flow during exams and perform vision tests.
• Assist with contact lens exams and orders and operate the POS system.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and ensure equipment disinfection.
• Support the Optometrist and adapt to various examination scenarios.
