Job summary

Warby Parker in Paramus, NJ, seeks an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists and deliver a stellar patient experience. You will help manage a high volume of patients, perform pre-testing, assist with contact lens training, and support eye exam operations while maintaining privacy and accuracy in data.

You’ll collaborate with doctors and store teams, ensuring appointments run smoothly and records are kept meticulously.

Qualifications

Experience supporting doctors or in a medical environment is preferred.
Ability to learn and use new medical software quickly.
Strong communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport during eye exams.
Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging).
Support in person and video assisted eye exam appointments as available.
Deliver insertion/removal training for contact lenses to new wearers and train teammates.
Manage patient flow and assist with appointment confirmations and follow-ups.
Assist with data recording, report preparation for medical professionals, and HIPAA/privacy compliance.
Maintain organized exam rooms, replenish supplies, and calibrate equipment as needed.
Support the retail sales team as directed by the Store Leader.
