AEG seeks an Optometric Technician to support optometrists, conducting pre-testing and assisting with diagnostic testing to ensure high-quality patient care from start to finish.

You will manage the doctor’s schedule, document findings in the EHR, and help with clerical tasks while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate records. This role is on-site in Waite Park, MN with strong benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Aufgaben

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity).
• Schedule referral appointments with Ophthalmologists and other follow-up visits; complete paperwork.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication and treatment; assist with clerical duties in EHR.
• Perform diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Assist with end-of-day wrap-up, schedule management, and general practice duties.

Kenntnisse
