AEG Vision in Morgantown, WV is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the doctors and deliver high-quality patient care in our on-site practice.

You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient, patient-centered visits. HIPAA compliance and accurate record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications include eye‑care experience, familiarity with medical eye terminology, and certification such as CPO, CPOA or CPOT.

Qualificações

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiar with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification in CPO, CPOA or CPOT.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation and acuity testing.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for an efficient, high‑quality patient experience.
• Record and maintain patient records in HIPAA‑compliant EHR systems.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication and treatment.
• Operate diagnostic equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Support clerical duties and help with patient communication and referrals.
